From recent news, to pictures of landmarks and places of interest, the Home Page is designed to welcome you to Prince George's County's Livable Communities. Simplified menu items to help you to get to what you want quickly Emergency notices are placed in the red banner and liked to pertinent information for citizens The Executive, Legislative, and Judicial Branches of government are linked in this area for easy visibility and accessibility. Clicking on each leads to their specific sections. The Livable Communities Initiative is also given place on this section of the front page to demonstrate Prince George's County Government's commitment to promoting healthy and safe environments. The Newsroom is the hub for what's going on in Prince George's County. Clicking here will take you to the latest press releases. Quick Links direct to important government related items. Updated frequently, the scrolling For Your Information section has items to timely interest. The Select An Agency and Select A Service drop downs are placed here and on every page to make it easy to navigate from one agency or service to another. Besides providing information about County services, these pages also contain downloadable content and contact information in order to keep you abreast of the latest issues pertaining to Prince George's County. The title of the department or agency is displayed in a large font on each department or agency home page. One will also find contact information and the Director's name on each department's Home Page. Some subsites have a right column with related links, recent announcements, and other items of interest. The menus for all subsites and pages follow a two level format. The White text represents the top level, and the Yellow text represents the second level. Any additional links for items beyond the second level appear on the right side of the respective pages. Press releases are sorted by agency. Some releases may have pictures or video media to accompany the text. All Press Releases are sorted by date. The current month's release is the default view, and previous months can be viewed by selecting the dropdown menu. Press Releases that have pictures attached will show a thumbnail-sized picture to the left of the release. When this icon is present, the Press Release has a video attached to it. To view the video, one must use Microsoft's Windows Media application, which can be downloaded from our Newsroom.
